Melanie Andrews, LLG Committee member organized the kickoff event of the 2017-2018-program season. Author, Jim Jordan presented an informative and interesting talk about Sherman’s March to the Sea.
Forty-five Colleton members attended this first of two authors’ luncheon series organized by the Lifelong Learning Committee.
Jim is the author of Savannah Grey and his newest book Penny Savannah. Jim, a former financial analyst and financial systems consultant, began his second career as a tour guide in Savannah, Georgia and soon turned to writing.
His non-fiction book, The Slave-Trader’s Letter-Book: Charles Lamar, the Wanderer, and, Other Tales of the Illegal Slave Trade is scheduled to be published in January 2018.
It was an enjoyable afternoon in the Nicklaus Clubhouse with good food and lively discussion.
Colleton River is pleased to announce a partnership with Cornerstone Physical Therapy and Wellness. Beginning in October, Dr. Matthew Motes, PT, DPT will be the exclusive Doctor of Physical Therapy for the Members of Colleton River. Dr. Motes will provide Member’s outpatient physical therapy at the Fitness Center, making it more convenient to attend therapy when needed.
Originally from Augusta, GA, Dr. Motes earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from Armstrong State University in Savannah, GA. He also lettered on the men’s golf team for four years, earning Academic All-American honors. He continued his post-graduate studies at Armstrong State University earning a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Dr. Motes is experienced in treating orthopedic conditions such as joint replacements, spine dysfunction, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle injuries, neurological conditions, and sports specific injuries. He has a passion for helping his patients return to golf safely and successfully.

As a “satellite office” of Cornerstone Physical Therapy you will be able to charge the physical therapy to your insurance plan as usual.
